For those who want to join this fellowship of believers,
this is our process.
Steps Toward Membership
#1 - Confession of Christian Faith
The ancient Apostles' Creed is our standard of Christian Belief.
Prospective members will agree with the content contained within the Creed.
#2 - Christian Baptism
The Bible presents baptism as an act of allegiance and confession of faith in Christ.
Servant's Heart Fellowship (SHF) recognizes previous Christian baptisms.
#3 - Commitment to Servant's Heart Fellowship
Prospective members will commit to make SHF their church home.
This is communicated by regular attendance and personal involvement in our church.
#4 – Membership Class
SHF elders will offer a membership class at least once per year.
This class outlines these steps and answers any questions about SHF.
#5 – Meeting with Elders
Prospective members must meet with the elders to confirm a personal Christian faith.
We will schedule these meetings in a convenient manner for all.
#6 – Commitment to Maintain Peace
SHF members will be charitable about debatable issues while holding to all core doctrines of the Christian faith,
thus living out the motto, "In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity."
#7 – Commitment to Leave SHF Peacefully
Should a member decide to move to another church, we ask that they move on peacefully.
SHF is committed to releasing members in good standing graciously and respectfully.
